Jason Pegg
Jason studied Visual and Performing arts at the University of Brighton. After graduating he wanted to be a musician and songwriter. He joined several bands and started writing songs.
Having reached grade 5 on piano, Jason taught himself to play the guitar, bass, accordion and chromatic harmonica. In 1999 he formed his own band Clearlake as writer, singer, guitarist and producer. The band signed to Domino records, recorded three albums and played around the UK, Europe and America over the next ten years appearing on Later with Jools Holland amongst other highlights. After 15 years the band split up and Jason wrote and produced two solo albums. Jason then studied Jazz at Chichester College.
He Joined SML in 2015 feeling that self managed learning was something that he had always done intuitively. Alongside his role as a Learning Adviser and Music tutor at the college he also runs Art workshops for students.
Outside of college he still plays in a number of different bands and his personal learning has moved into the study of film-making.
