Stephen Luke
Stephen has been a graphic artist, technician and designer for many years working professionally in the publishing, marketing, animation, events and games fields with a lot of published work under his belt. He has worked for companies such as Ubisoft, Konami, Wizards of the Coast and the BBC.
Programming was a sort of hobby for Steve initially in his late teens, but became more prominent with his work in the computer games industry between 2000 and 2012. Since 2012, Steve has become more of a developer, prototyping ideas using browsers as well as combining art and programming skills. Most of his ‘bread and butter’ work has come in the form of motion graphics and web development. Steve started tutoring last year, and that experience has led him to continue with this. In 2020 he completed a level 3 teacher training certificate and with his previous my MSc training, feels that he is in a great place to help young people learn.
Steve’s main applications for work flow are 3DS Max for 3D creation, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Illustrator and Unity 3D. For video production he uses Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
Programming wise has had 10 years experience with JavaScript, PHP, SQL and more recently C#, working with Object Orientated Principles.
